South Africa has one of the most vibrant entertainment scenes on the continent, from amapiano and Afro-pop to local television, rugby and football heroes, fashion weeks and a booming creator economy. Newsare.org exists to cover all of it with energy, context and respect.
We write in South African English, price everything in rand and report from the cities where the stories happen. Our readers are adults who love pop culture and want it served with a clear head.
